Former junior women's champ: comeback attempt #3
Author: John Lofranco
That blue sky is the surf
of the Terry Fox track in Ottawa,
and those clouds are the puffs
of dust that rise off the mondo
as you pound out your late-afternoon
intervals. You are that lonely
seagull, circling, wings spread
and gliding around the turns,
opening up and pumping on
the straights. The sun is my eye
watching you, warming you, making
possible that golden glow around
your silhouette in the sky.

title: Roses Are Red
Johnnie,
That poem was awesome, so awesome that I inspired me to write one of my own.... I`m a little nervous. but here goes:
Roses Are Red
Violets Are Blue
That Poem You Wrote Gave Me A Hard On
And Sophie Does Too!
I hope you like it.
Yours Truly
Your Beloved John Carle |

| Excellent! Poetic licence allows for the incorrect reference to 'mondo'. |
